ON “PERPETUAL STRAYING”

How can someone cut away from where they belong? What can we say of evidence of genuine faith in God if not continued perseverance? Here it is: “These people left our churches, but they never really belonged with us; otherwise they would have stayed with us. When they left, it proved that they did not belong with us.” (1 John 2:19, NLT). Yes, evidence of genuine faith is perpetual perseverance. Can a person be saved and then turn away from what he or she once professed as clearly outlined in the Word of God? No! Note it well, friend. Genuine believers do not perpetually stray from God! That’s it!!!
