ON “SETTING GOALS”
Questions about setting goals remain a usual approach to understand that we are indeed organised! I use to say; goal setting is wise, prudent and biblical. When we apply Scripture verses to our goals, we always want to tread carefully because we need first to be sure that our goals align with God’s will for us. Our goals should not contract the Word and character of God. Meaning, all your goals must indeed be submitted to God’s will! There is a difference between saying, “I want to make a million British pounds, so I feel rich and secure,” and applying the Biblical verses to the goals versus saying, “I want to save up six months of an emergency fund and then work on building responsible savings account to provide for my family.” Whatever your goal may be, first examine its purpose and then look at it through the biblical keys. If we consult the Lord before and during our goal planning, seeking His guidance, submitting to His will, I believe that we will be amazed not only at the outcome of our goals but also at the journey. You must be ready to fulfil the mind of God for your life! That’s it!!!
