1 “I can do all things through him who strengthens me. For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” 2. “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me in.” 3. “If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” 4. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
