EMBRACING THE EXTRAORDINARY YOU

EMBRACING THE EXTRAORDINARY YOU

Matthew 5:14-16 (NOG) – “You are light for the world. A city cannot be hidden when it is located on a hill. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket. Instead, everyone who lights a lamp puts it on a lamp stand. Then its light shines on everyone in the house. 16 In the same way let your light shine in front of people. Then they will see the good that you do and praise your Father in heaven..”

Message:

Beloved, today we gather to reflect on a timeless truth: we are not called to live an average life but to manifest our very best. Jesus tells us that we are the light of the world, and a light is not meant to be hidden. Each one of us is uniquely designed by God with exclusive talents, gifts, and a purpose that shines differently and beautifully.

Settling for average means hiding that light under a bowl. But what does it mean to embrace the extraordinary? It means:

1. Recognizing Your Divine Potential: God has planted the seeds of greatness within you. Cultivate them through prayer, study, and faithful action. Remember that your abilities are not just for your glory but for God’s kingdom.

2. Overcoming Fear and Doubt: Many times, fear and doubt lure us into mediocrity. The Bible reassures us in 2 Timothy 1:7 that, “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” Trust in this power, and let go of fears that limit you.

3. Serving with Excellence: Whatever you do, do it as if you’re doing it for the Lord Himself (Colossians 3:23). Serve others with all your heart, and give your best, even in small tasks. Excellence in small things prepares us for greater responsibilities.

4. Living with Purpose: Understand that your life is a testament to God’s Glory. Shape your actions and decisions to reflect this purpose. When you live with intention, people see the light of Christ shining through you, and it draws them closer to God.

In conclusion, remember that living an extraordinary life is not about grand gestures but consistent, faithful excellence in every area of your life. Don’t settle for average; let your light shine and manifest the very best for God’s Glory.
