ON “QUOTES OF THE DAY”

ON “QUOTES OF THE DAY”

1. “I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God’s gift to man.”

2 “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers, but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law, he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so but are like chaff that the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.”

3 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; also believe in me. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”

4 “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.”
