Kingdom Peace; Forgiveness of Sin

Kingdom Peace; Forgiveness of Sin

“The servant’s master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.”(Matthew 18:27) INDEED, “Which is easier; to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven.’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? “(9:5)

God’s pattern of deliverance brings solution by faith. When sinners are forgiven, their problems dissolve by mercy of God because of Christ. In this passage, do you see that this pardon illustrates the good news of deliverance by faith? How absurd for the servant to plead for time when the proceeds from selling all that he had, and even selling himself, could not possibly repay the debt! It is like evading one’s debt with mere excuse of time, which cannot be fulfilled. If we go thus to the Lord, He does not answer, we could hear Him saying: “All right. Pay what you can now and clear up the rest of the debt bit by bit in the days to come.” No, Christ freely forgives all. God gives grace and will go on giving until His own heart is satisfied. God gives according to His nature, never according to ours, so we may ask boldly, for He always does exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. Do you know what? Your problems shall all vanish when you receive the mercy of God today. God grants the desires of those who fear him; He hears their cries for help and rescues them. (Ps. 145:19)

CONFESS AS FOLLOWS:
I know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to me because I am in His will. He has given me all things that pertain to life and godliness, and I am well able to possess all that God has provided for me. (Num. 13:30; John 9:31; 2 Peter 1:3,4)
Praise God!
